For the test I would hit the button five times at every 100 yards and record all my readings until I got to the end of the range at 1,900 yards (ex. hit the range button five times and three of them gave readings).  All readings came back first time every time except once at 1,400 yards I only got four readings of the five tries but It could have been user error as well.
